NCAA rules allow for University Sporting Goods to partner with student-athletes
In the past year, fans of college sports may have noticed a difference when attending games. Patrons might have seen student athletes trying to sell you a toothpaste brand or persuade you to buy a subscription plan.
The reason for this change is because the NCAA changed its rules and now allows student athletes to make money off their names, image, and likeness.
Because of these rule changes, University Sporting Goods, located on the Downtown Square in Oxford, Mississippi, now offers customized Ole Miss gear. The retail, souvenir, and homeware store has partnered with recognizable names such as Matt Corral, John-Rhys Plumlee, Jerrion Ealy and more to bring a variety of products to Ole Miss fans.
The locally owned and operated store has a wide variety of products and friendly faces indoors. It has been a part of the Oxford community since 1966 and has been noted as “a great place for Rebel fanatics!” by customers.
Check out the store next time you’re on The Square and get your hands on some new Ole Miss gear!
