Ole Miss Rebel quarterback, Matt Corral, has played a huge roll in the success that the rebel football team has seen throughout this season. Corral is from Ventura, California and is classified as a redshirt junior on the roster.

His career highlights include the following: 2021 Maxwell Award Semifinalist, 2021 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 10, 2021 Davey O’Brien Award Watch List, 2021 Walter Camp Award Watch List, 2021 Manning Award Watch List, 2021 Preseason All-American Third Team, 2021 Preseason All-SEC First Team, 2020 All-SEC Third Team, 2020 All-SEC Fourth Team, 2020 Manning Award Finalist, 2020 Davey O’Brien Award Semifinalist, 2020 Maxwell Award Watch List, and 2020 CFPA National Performer of the Year Trophy Watch List.
The Heisman Memorial Trophy is awarded annually in New York City to the most outstanding player in college football based off of the players’ outstanding ability, diligence, perseverance, and hard work. The winner of the Heisman Trophy is determined by a select poll of sportswriters.
The 2021 Heisman finalists are set to be announced on Monday, December 6, 2021. The announcement of the 2021 Heisman Trophy Winner via the televised Heisman Ceremony will take place on ESPN on Saturday, December 11, 2021.
Throughout the 2021 football season, Corral’s statistics include: 259-of-379 (68.3%), 3,334 passing yards, 20 passing touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 597 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
